About Jeff Scoggins
Jeff Scoggins serves as the pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist churches in Brainerd, Aitkin, Wadena, and Staples, Minnesota.
Previous to moving to Minnesota Jeff spent two years in Moscow, Russia, where he was responsible for strategic planning for the Seventh-day Adventist division office. While there Jeff helped to coordinate a project that planted 300 new churches throughout the countries of the former Soviet Union.
Jeff grew up in a mobile family. He lived in the Southern United States until about eight years old. Then his family accepted a mission call to Beirut, Lebanon, where they served for three years. They returned to Iowa for a few years then accepted another mission call to Rwanda, Africa. Jeff attended high school in Nairobi, Kenya and finished his final year in Singapore. Then he returned to Lincoln, Nebraska, where he attended Union College earning a B.A. in Communication and a B.S. in Commercial Art. He graduated in 1992 and accepted a call to the Adventist World Headquarters in Maryland where he worked in various communication capacities for the next nine years before accepting the call to Russia.
Jeff began pastoring at the Moscow International Seventh-day Adventist Church and was ordained to the ministry in November 2003. He continues his theological training now at Andrews University Seminary.
